Study habits: There are plenty of great places at and around Loyola to study. Some alumni favorites include, clockwise from top left; Corboy Law Center’s library, Mundelein Center’s greenhouse, the lakefront next to Madonna della Strada, the Information Commons, Metropolis Coffee, and Schreiber Center.


STATUS UPDATE Where was your favorite study spot on campus?


At the Lake Shore Campus in the Mundelein Center on


the 7th floor in the greenhouse/ glass room. It’s quiet, not many people really go there, and the view of the lake is AMAZING. — Margaret Burda (JFRC Spring ’11, BA ’12, BS ’12)


Crown had amazing views. Wolf & Kettle was a nice

I always switched between Cudahy Library and

The Jesuit Residence lawn. It was a space so unique to

Outside, the circle between Madonna della Strada and


the lake. Inside, the art museum when it was still in Cudahy

Echo Chamber to “pretend study while socializing” but

This might sound odd, but I loved studying in the


vending machine room at the Crown Center for the Humanities. Quick access to snacks and Diet Cokes, absolutely no one else


wanted to be there with me so it was pretty quiet, I could take over two tables with my stuff, and I could hop up to visit the lake and soak in the peacefulness whenever I wanted. Perfection! —Alyx Kesselring (BA ’05, MA ’10)
