GATING & RISER DESIGN 101

This course guides participants through the basic functions of gating and risers to provide clean, sound and functional castings. Emphasis is placed on hands-on activities, animations, and simula- tions to enhance understanding of the fi lling and solidifi cation pro- cesses in a foundry. The goal will be to introduce the participants the basics of gating and riser de- sign, common industry norms and troubleshooting.
