AMT Acquires Kotobuki-Reliable Die Casting American Metal Technologies
LLC, Sturtevant, Wis., has acquired Xenia, Ohio-based Kotobuki-Reliable, according to the Milwaukee Biz-Times. T e die-caster manufactures precision machined aluminum parts in a variety of alloys.
AMT is a precision machining
company with customers in the automo- tive, truck and off -highway markets. Its owners are pursuing vertical integration targeting high-pressure aluminum die- casting fi rms, with the help of Milwau- kee-based investment bank Promontory Point Capital. T e acquisition reportedly will allow AMT to have greater infl uence over the sourcing and quality of its aluminum casting requirements while improving its relationships with key customers, accord- ing to Promontory Point, which evalu- ated acquisition candidates and served as fi nancial advisor in the transaction.
M2M Group Adds API Generation Growth Capital Inc., a
Milwaukee-based private equity fi rm, recently announced it acquired Atlantic Precision Inc. (API). API, with Clinken- beard & Associates Inc., M2M Machin- ing Inc., Mica Tool & Manufacturing LLC, and Tri Aerospace LLC., form the Model 2 Machine (M2M) Group. T e fi rm established the M2M
Group in 2011 to provide services to as- sist OEM customers with the transition of parts and products from research and development to full production. “T e addition of API will allow us to expand our capacity and our off erings in 5-axis machining and additive manufac- turing technologies,” said Steve Helfer, General Manager, Clinkenbeard. Chuck Madore, CEO, M2M added,
“T e acquisition of API really solidifi es our capabilities in the aerospace industry. T e addition of direct metal laser sinter- ing (DMLS), multi-axis wire EDM and additional 5-axis machining capacity rounds out the current off erings at Clinkenbeard and Tri Aerospace. All three companies have begun to work in concert and we are excited to drive the M2M Group strategy forward.”
