Anderson Industries acquires Dakota Foundry Anderson Industries LLC, in


Mapleton, N.D., has acquired 100% of the shares of Dakota Foundry Inc. in Webster, S.D. Dakota Foundry manufactures gray and ductile iron castings up to 5,000 lbs. for the industrial, construction, agricul- ture and transportation industries. It complements Anderson Industries’ spe- cialization in metal fabrication, providing weldments and machined components to equipment manufacturers in the agricul-


ture and construction industries. “We are very excited about the ac-


quisition, which will allow us to provide more value-added services to all of our combined customers,” says Kory An- derson, president, Anderson Industries. “Our vision is to manufacture solutions that enhance our customer’s experi- ence, productivity and profi tability. T e acquisition of the foundry allows us to be a one-stop shop for our customer’s metal fabrication or iron casting needs.”


Anderson’s history with Dakota


Foundry goes back to 2006 when he had just started Anderson Industries and was supplying metalcasting pat- terns from his garage. Today, Anderson Industries LLC has fi ve manufacturing locations in North and South Dakota with a total of 160 employees. 


Shiloh Buys Radar Industries Shiloh Industries Inc., Valley City,


Ohio, has acquired Warren, Mich.- based Radar Industries. T e purchase leverages Radar Industries’ tooling technologies and stamping capabilities, expanding Shiloh’s existing manu- facturing capacity to include Central Mexico and Michigan. “Radar Industries is a perfect addi-


tion to Shiloh’s strategic lightweight- ing portfolio,” said Ramzi Hermiz, president and CEO, Shiloh Industries. “To broaden our best-in-class portfolio even further, we actively seek solutions that address industry pinch points, such as large tonnage stamping capacity and tool and die capability. T is acquisition is another way for us to better service our growing global customer base.” Shiloh is a global and Tier 1 supplier


to the automotive, commercial vehicle and other industrial markets. T e com- pany, which has several casting facilities in the U.S., off ers steel, steel alloy, aluminum and magnesium products. It has locations across Asia, Europe and North America with approximately 3,000 employees. “Radar Industries has been a leader


in metal forming and assembly, produc- tion design and engineering services,” said Dave Zmyslowski, president, Radar Industries. “T e acquisition adds to our strong technology position, customer diversifi cation and geographic needs by complementing our existing stamping, laser welding, aluminum and magnesium diecasting footprint.” T e acquisition includes three metal stamping plants, two in Warren, Mich., and one in Celaya, Mexico. T e deal includes a sales and technical center, also in Warren. Radar is comprised of approximately 325 workers in the U.S. and Mexico. 
