Te historic French Quarter: Tis is the city’s

original settlement and oldest neighborhood, and the district is a National Historic Landmark. It is bordered by well-known streets like Canal, Decatur and Rampart and Esplanade Avenue. According to New Orleans’ CVB, “Te French Quarter boasts a storied history of international influence with cultural contributions from the French, Spanish, Sicilians, Italians, Africans, Irish and others. So much of what makes New Orleans unique is captured in the melting pot atmosphere of the French Quarter, from the boisterous party vibe of Bourbon Street to the bohemian elegance of Royal Street, it’s a neighborhood full of entertainment and surprises.”

You’ll see Spanish-influenced architecture –

“balconies with intricate ironwork and courtyards filled with lush greenery and beautiful fountains.” Enjoy the famous Café du Monde or take in local

music or some boutique shopping here. Garden District: “Tradition, opulence and

beauty...a well-preserved collection of antebellum mansions, pristine gardens and Southern charm, the Garden District stands out as one of the country’s loveliest neighborhoods. General boundaries for this popular neighborhood are St. Charles Avenue to Magazine Street and from Jackson Avenue to Louisiana Avenue,” said the NOLA CVB.
