Capt. Steven P. Drefahl, USN (Ret), Life Member (joined 2003): Drefahl earned his surface warfare quali- fi cation aboard USS England (CG-22). As the COO for the


Cincinnati Area Chapter of the American Red Cross, he led signifi cant fundraising eff orts. He is the president-elect of “Leadership Cincinnati,” Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber’s fl agship leadership program. He is the fi rst vice president of the Greater Cincinnati MOAA chapter.


Heather Escamilla (joined 2005): Escamilla holds a Bach- elor of Science in elementary education from Towson State University, Md. She taught elementary school for DoD Depen-


dent Schools in Okinawa, Japan. She is deeply involved with the military and civilian communities. Active with various offi cer spouse organiza- tions, she has held a variety of board positions and served on MOAA’s Currently Serving Spouse Advisory Council with the 2015-16 class.


Cmdr. Steve L. Morin, USPHS, Life Member (joined 2014): Morin joined the U.S. Public Health Service in May 2000. At the FDA, he helps patients, caregivers, and patient advocates under-


stand the life cycle of medical product development, working to increase the patient voice in medical product development and help the public understand the regulatory framework that makes up the FDA. He recently served on MOAA’s Currently Serving Advisory Council with the 2015-16 class.


Lt. Samantha Foxton Scarborough, USN, Life Member (joined 2014): Scarborough graduated from the U.S. Naval Acad- emy in Annapolis, Md., in 2007 and reported to USS Princeton


(CG-59) as a strike offi cer. After that, she served as a fi re control offi cer; force protection offi cer; and visit, board, search, and seizure offi cer. She currently is working at the Offi ce of Naval Intelligence and fi nishing Joint Professional Military Education Phase I through the Naval War College.
