Sorry. I tend to gush. Here’s the deal. In Utah we have six resorts tucked into one of the world’s most spectacular mountain ranges. Wanna see it from top to bottom? Get out of bounds? Join me on Ski Utah’s Interconnect Tour and I’ll take you from the base of Deer Valley all the way to the peaks of Snow- bird and through the wilds in between. This is the real deal. Groups of 12 leave daily and are led by two highly educated, and always merrymaking mountain guides. Some days we play in untracked powder and others we are on soft snow enjoying the sunshine. Our goal to ski among six Utah resorts during the day with little more than our skis, a Snickers bar, a few chair- lifts and a couple of good looking guides, you know, like me.

OK, that’s a bit of an under exaggeration of course there’s more to the day than that, but the one sure bet is that adventure awaits. Back with Emily, the idea of linking six resorts in one day is quickly becom- ing a reality for the guests on this day after having just skied from Deer Valley and Park City to the Cotton- wood Canyons. Smile, this is quite the accomplish- ment with nothing more than human power and a handful of lift rides. This grand adventure is pinched between the greatest ski city and one of the preeminent ski towns in the country—Salt Lake City and Park City. As a matter of fact, at one point you’ll peer into the Salt Lake valley one way and Park City the other. I prefer guiding to

writing, but if these words have left an impression, you can start to imagine the possibilities of a day in the Wasatch mountains. It shouldn’t be a secret to

anyone, but this is a ski experience that can’t be replicated anywhere else in the U.S. Commonly overheard on our tour: “this adventure is what I’d imagine doing while visiting Europe, not Utah.” Shh. Let’s keep that a

secret. Emily’s “wow” brings us back. Our ski-powered travels sent us nearly 30 linear miles and our legs will undeniably let us know we’ve skied nearly 20,000 vertical feet and ridden approximately 15 lifts. If your travels bring you to Utah this winter, rally a crew together for the ultimate mountain adventure. You will expe- rience diverse terrain and

adventure

be challenged by Mother Nature and your own physical limitations. I can almost guarantee that this day spent traveling the backcountry and up to six resorts on a grand tour will fill you with a newfound energy and provide you an ear-to-ear grin. It’s like Emily says,
