GENERAL INFORMATION Inclusive Prices


2017 river cruise prices are per person in US dollars. All gratuities, accommodations, entertainment, on-tour transportation, airport transfers as detailed, sightseeing, luggage handling and services of the Tauck Director are included in the tour price as specified herein.


Accommodations – All accommodations are included. Connecting or adjacent rooms are by request only and are not guaranteed. Triples and quads aboard ship are accommodated in two adjacent, but not connected, double cabins. Triples and quads in Category 7 consist of a double-bedded suite featuring a full sized pull-out sofa; triples and quads are not available for more than three adults over the age of 18 sharing a cabin.


Child/Adult Pricing – Children under 18 must be booked in a room with at least one adult. Quadruple accommodations are not available for four persons 18 and older.


Meals – Most meals are included as specified in the itinerary. Meal codes are: B=Breakfast, L=Lunch, D=Dinner.


Internet – Complimentary basic Internet available aboard ship and in hotel rooms; service levels are not always guaranteed.


Luggage Handling & Restrictions – Luggage handling is included. Please limit your checked luggage to one suitcase per person weighing no more than 50 pounds and with overall dimensions (l + w + h) not exceeding 62 inches.


Not Included


Airfare to the tour departure point and from the tour ending point is not included. Departure taxes are not included.


Personal Expenses such as phone calls, laundry, visa fees, airline excess luggage charges and other optional incidental extras are not included.


Luggage Responsibility – We cannot be responsible, assume liability or accept claims for loss or damage to luggage and personal effects due to breakage, theft or fair wear and tear through hotel, airline or group carrier handling.


Additional Information


Itinerary Changes & Price Flexibility – Tauck reserves the right to alter or curtail the itinerary, or substitute sightseeing, ports, hotels, and / or conveyances as deemed necessary. Note: Prices in this brochure may be modified due to unexpected significant external factors not forecasted at the time of printing.


Passports / Visas – For international travel, US citizens need a passport valid for at least 6 months beyond completion of the tour. Visas may be required; ask at booking. US citizens and non-US citizens need a valid passport for entry into the US. Non-US citizens should contact their booking agent or appropriate consulate for information on all required documents.


International Travel with Children – Many countries have specific entry requirements for children under 21 who are traveling internationally without one or both parents. Tauck Bridges requires all travelers to comply with the regulations for the country you are visiting. Tauck Bridges is not responsible for the disruption of travel caused by improper documentation for any travelers, including children traveling without both parents.


Airline Security Measures – All passengers must provide their name exactly as it appears on the passport or government-issued photo ID to be used while traveling, their date of birth and their gender when making airline reservations to fly to, from and over the US to the airline.


International Cruise Regulations – Travelers must provide their passport number and date of birth to Tauck at time of booking for all cruises. Tauck must provide this information to the cruise line before departure or you may be denied boarding.


Air Services – Airfare may be purchased through Tauck for international travel originating in the United States and Canada. By using Tauck’s air services, you agree that Tauck, in purchasing, selling or otherwise arranging air transportation,


is acting only as your agent and is not liable or responsible for any accident, death, personal injury, illness, property damage, delay or other loss or expense of any nature whatsoever arising directly or indirectly out of any act of God, or any actions or omissions (including any failure to provide services) or default of, any carrier. Tauck’s air services must be purchased in conjunction with a Tauck tour. Electronic ticket numbers will be mailed with final documents. Should you cancel or change your air before or after departure, cancellation and change fees will apply.


Membership & Health – Tauck reserves the right to terminate the tour of any persons who are abusive of others or whose behavior disrupts the operation of the tour. Many of these tours are active and travelers must be in good health. Consult your physician for pre-departure health advice.


Travelers Needing Special Assistance – Tauck regrets that it cannot provide individual assistance to guests for wheelchairs, motorized scooters, walking, dining or other personal needs. Persons needing such assistance must be accompanied by an able companion who will assist them. Wheelchairs and motorized scooters can’t be accommodated on many journeys.


Age Recommendations – Children age 4 and older at the time of travel are welcome. There may be age restrictions on activities; all children must be accompanied on activities by a parent or guardian. At least one guest in the traveling party must be 21 or older to make a reservation.


Safety and Welfare Responsibility – A minor traveling on a Tauck journey is the sole responsibility of the parent and / or guardian. By traveling with Tauck parents and / or guardians release Tauck Bridges, Tauck, Inc. and our partners of all liability for any risks and / or injuries to the child traveler.


Responsibility for Children on Tour – It is important that children be under adult supervision by their parent or guardian at all times. Children will not be permitted to take part in excursions or in activities without an accompanying parent or guardian.

Deposit Date – A per person deposit for each tour booked must be received by the “Deposit Due Date” or space is automatically released. Deposits are as follows:

Final Payment is due at Tauck’s Wilton, CT office 90 days before departure for all European riverboat cruises.


Section I: Cancellation Waiver – Provided by Tauck Should you have to cancel your trip for any reason, Tauck’s Cancellation Waiver reduces the cancellation fees outlined herein, provided we are notified of cancellation before your tour departs. Certain terms and restrictions apply – see below*:


Section II: Travel Insurance and Benefits – Underwritten by Transamerica Casualty Insurance Company. Should you have to cancel your land tour due to illness, injury, death or other covered reason, cancellation or airline penalties not refunded by Tauck would be reimbursable under Section II of the plan.


• Trip Delay – Provides reimbursement for missed prepaid travel arrangements if you are delayed by a common carrier, natural disaster, unannounced strike or other reasons as cited in the plan.


• Medical Expense – Reimburses covered medical expenses incurred in the event you become injured or sick during your trip.


• Baggage / Personal Effects Protection – Provides reimbursement in the event your luggage or personal effects are lost, stolen, damaged or delayed during your trip.


• 24-hour Worldwide Emergency Assistance Services – Provided by On Call International.


The Cruise Protection plan cost is: $595 per person – Europe Riverboat Cruises


*Extreme Circumstances: In the event of an act of God, war (whether declared or undeclared), terrorism, accident, natural disaster, outbreak of disease, or other event or circumstance beyond our control that contributes to or results in cancellation rates above our historical cancellation rates in the absence of such event or occurrence, Tauck reserves the right to issue a credit to you in lieu of a money-back refund, applicable to a future Tauck journey. Cancellation Fees – If you need to cancel a confirmed journey, the following fees will apply.


Guests choosing to purchase Tauck’s Cruise Protection will incur cancellation penalties as follows:


Europe Riverboat Cruises


• 90 days or more before departure Loss of Cruise Protection fee per person


• 89–46 days before departure Loss of 25% of cost of cruise per person, not including air (if applicable), plus loss of Cruise Protection fee


• 45–1 day before departure


Loss of 50% of cost of cruise per person, not including air (if applicable), plus loss of Cruise Protection fee


Guests choosing not to purchase Tauck’s Cruise Protection will incur cancellation penalties as follows:


Europe Riverboat Cruises


• 90 days or more before departure $800 per person


• 89–46 days before departure Loss of 50% of cost of cruise, not including air (if applicable) per person


• 45–1 day before departure Loss of 100% of cost of cruise, not including air (if applicable) per person


Time of cancellation will be when notice is received in our Wilton, CT office. In the event of an unforeseen circumstance beyond our control, Tauck reserves the right to amend the Cruise Protection and cancellation terms outlined herein.
