Although we’ve been bringing travelers to Cuba for People-to-People cultural exchange under a license from the U.S. Treasury Department since it became possible to do so in 2012, our history in Cuba travel goes all the way back to 1935 – Tauck’s 10th anniversary year – when Arthur Tauck Sr. offered an
opportunity on a Florida tour to take a two-night cruise leading to “outstanding points of interest in old and new Havana.”
All these years later, we’re excited to offer a new People-to- People Cuba trip for 2016. Our new 13-day Cuba: A Cultural Odyssey takes you across the length of the island for in-depth cultural exchange in Havana, San Francisco de Paula, Santa Clara, Camagüey, Holguín and more. Like our 7-day, Havana- based Cuba: Connecting with People and Culture, this new journey begins and ends in Miami, includes charter flights between Miami and Cuba, and brings you face-to-face with the people of Cuba – including students, teachers, artists, dancers, craftsmen, agricultural workers and more – to share thoughts and insights, and connect with their rich history and culture.
On either trip, you’ll develop strong relationships with Cuba’s people and institutions, and create culturally enriching connections that increase your understanding of our Caribbean island neighbor and all it has to offer. And with the nature of travel to Cuba continuing to change rapidly, now is the perfect time to explore the authentic Cuba and its singular cultural heritage.
We hope you’ll join us in Cuba soon – and discover this amazing country and its unique culture for yourself!
