PRACE, the Partnership for Advanced Computing in Europe, is a Belgian international non-profit organisation (aisbl) with its seat in Brussels. PRACE provides a persistent pan-European Research Infrastructure (RI) of world-class supercomputers open to all disciplines of research. PRACE powers excellent science and engineering and serves as a vital catalyst to foster European competitiveness.


Since 2008 PRACE has aimed to provide top-class education and training for computational scientists in Europe through the PRACE Advanced Training Centres (PATC), the International HPC Summer School, and PRACE Seasonal Schools. This year PRACE has introduced PRACE CodeVault, an open repository containing various high performance computing code samples for the HPC community.


The PRACE CodeVault is an open repository containing various high performance computing code samples for the HPC community. The CodeVault is an open platform that supports self-education of learning HPC programming skills where HPC users can share example code snippets, proof-of-concept codes and more.The PRACE CodeVault contains training material from PRACE partners, as well as example codes for common HPC kernels.


The PRACE CodeVault is hosted at gitlab.com/PRACE-4IP/ CodeVault and it is open with anonymous read access. Instructions on how to contribute to the CodeVault can be found on the repository pages or at www.training.prace-ri. eu/codevault/.


PRACE Advanced Training Centres (PATCs)


The PRACE Advanced Training Centres (PATCs) provide top-class education and training opportunities for computational scientists in Europe and are the primary source for PRACE training portal materials.


The six PRACE training centres are:
