Shining a light on the proceedings were Coast
Torches, LED Lenser and Scangrip. They are all companies that are exploiting the power of the LED to provide light where there is dark. It is fitting at a venue like Donington that there is a
motor racing simulator competition for visitors and suppliers. With generous prizes provided by Makita, Bosch and Draper there was no shortage of effort to get the fastest lap time. Toby Wright from Bibielle UK was a clear winner by over three seconds to claim a Samsung LED 40” TV with runners up Dan Welling from Marcrist and Andy Needham from Guardsman Ltd receiving an iPad and Bose XT Speaker respectively. John Evans, Director of Operations at THS
commented, “The support for the 40th THS Exhibition, from both Members and Suppliers has been tremendous ensuring that the networking evening and the exhibition itself was such a great success. Many suppliers reported orders in excess of previous year’s results acknowledging that, in some cases, this was partly due to the increased member numbers. The THS Exhibition is an excellent event for both Members and Suppliers to maximise their networking opportunities whilst the demonstration area provides the perfect hands-on concept for new or improved products all available under the one roof.” He particularly mentioned the hard work put in by exhibitors to ensure that their deals were so good as well as the work involved in building and manning the stands on the day.
The THS Show was the first time Metabo have
exhibited since becoming a supplier to the group again. It was great to see the members, old and new, we are now looking forward to the time ahead expanding our distribution within the group.
