based on honey bee/ bee stewardship and education. Students will be introduced to honey bee biology, colony dynamics, importance of comb, the colony as a super organism, native bees, beekeeping equipment and clothing, honey bee parasites, hive type variations, native bee homes, hive location and installation, nucs vs. packages, common honey bee parasites, integrated pest management (IPM), backyard/urban beekeeping, laws and registrations
