We were sorry to hear of the deaths of German drummer, vibraphone and keyboard player (Amon Düül II, Embryo, Rabih Abou-Khalil) Christian Burchard, on 17th January, aged 71; of West Gallery musician and morris dancer Rollo Woods, on 29th January aged 92; of American musician and composer Jim Cuomo on 6th February, aged 72; of singer, musician and Punch & Judy ‘professor’ Vernon Rose, around 6th Feb, aged 87; of Algia Mae Hinton, one of the last old- style Piedmont blues players, on 8th February, aged 88; of Senegalese singer Medoune Diallo of Ochestra Baobab and Africando, on 10th Feb, aged 68.
