The latest fruit of the Mills Design/MAT Yachts partnership is this aggressive IRC racer. Relatively light but with plenty of form stability, the prototype won its class on debuting at Hamilton Island. An alluring package for inshore and offshore racing


No surprise the champion TP52 designers have at last entered the Fast40+ cauldron. Developed from their latest super-fast TP52 Azzurrabut with relatively more sail area, the boat is also expected to attract plenty of silverware in regular IRC events

The Carkeek 47 is a thoroughbred HPR-IRC racing yacht, created with similar objectives to the C40 with HPR-driven performance both inshore and offshore – utilising no-compromise grand prix construction and technology throughout


Started life as an HPR design – sweet, unfettered shape


At just 4,500kg and with a wide, flat and powerful hull, this is indeed an offshore fun palace It had to happen, more a brand new 40-footer than a revamp of an existing model A rapid-looking fusion of good modern styling with a typically competitive hull and rig We had the Mk2 then somehow the Mk3.5… the Mk4 looks a little different, however


Lighter in displacement than its race-winning predecessor, the Ker 40+ features a deeper fin as well as an increase in reserve buoyancy forward. A winning Fast 40 in IRC, five boats have been sold to Europe and more look likely
