UNITE2017 ELECTIONS
Your union is run by you – and now you get your chance to say exactly who you want to lead the union as its general secretary and executive council members
Unite is holding an election for general secretary alongside the one for a new executive council (EC) from March 27 to April 19. The successful general secretary candidate will hold office for five years and the new EC will hold office for three years from May 2017 to April 2020. Make sure your voice is heard and take part in both elections.

Get voting
Voting papers will be posted to all eligible members along with the election addresses submitted by candidates. Voting will take place in accordance with the timetable below. Please ensure that your postal address is up to date on the membership system. It is not possible to vote on line so please check postal address and update if necessary. You can do this using the member login button on the Unite website

Timetable
Voting will be from March 27 to April 19. On April 20 to 22 the count and scrutiny of the ballot papers will take place for the general secretary election; and April 20 – 28 for the executive council. The new EC takes office from May 1.
