OKI sponsors cricket club’s new business and media centre

O

Cricket Clubs 3aaa County Ground in Derby.

KI will lend its name to the new £2m media centre complex at Derbyshire

As part of a major sponsorship deal, the new four-storey media centre will be known as the OKI Business and Media Centre.

The new centre is the culmination of a major development at the club which began with the 3aaa pavilion and the Elite Performance Centre last year. The investment forms part of Derbyshire Cricket Clubs plan to attract high profile players, bigger crowds and more media coverage.

For OKI it will be an opportunity to showcase the latest print and document management technology, as two floors of the centre will be dedicated to office space. Andrew Hall, OKI Systems UK marketing manager, said: “Derby has been described by George Osborne, chancellor of the exchequer as a great example of what the British economy should be in the future. It has been named as one of the top 25 European cities in which to invest and recognised by the Financial Times FDI awards as an outstanding location for business friendliness.

“Weve been impressed by the commitment of organisations such as Marketing Derbyshire to encouraging business growth in the area – building on the presence of automotive giants such as Rolls Royce and Toyota – combined with the cricket clubs commercial approach. We are, therefore, delighted to give our name to such an exciting new enterprise. We look forward to welcoming our clients to the centre and enjoying many years of good cricket in the future.” The OKI Business and Media Centre is expected to open next month.
