New fluorescent ink increases versatility of Roland DGs Texart printers

oland DG has released a fluorescent ink specifically formulated for use with its


Texart XT-640 and RT-640 dye sublimation printers.


Developed specifically for dye sublimation transfer printing, Texart printers deliver outstanding print quality and productivity for sportswear, fashion, soft signage, decor, promotional merchandise and much more. The new inks, Fluorescent Pink (Fp) and Yellow (Fy), can be combined with Roland DGs Texart process ink colours to produce hundreds of vivid fluorescent hues. The proprietary Roland DG Fluor Color Library swatch palette can be installed in Adobe Illustrator and CorelDRAW for unmatched ease of use and colour customisation. Simply clicking the desired colours in


the swatch palette allows you to quickly and easily incorporate brilliant and pastel fluorescent colours into your dye sublimation output. According to Yuko Maeda, division president of digital printing market development for Roland DG, the new fluorescent inks will be available mid-July in a configuration of CMYKOrViFpFy for the Texart XT-640 and RT-640 printers with ErgoSoft Roland Edition software RIP. With the growing demand for custom production in the field of textile and garment creation, Mr Maeda said: “We believe the addition of Fluor Ink will not only enhance the versatility of our Texart printers, but greatly expand textile printing possibilities for our users, especially for sports and fashion apparel.”


Bella + Canvas unveils a new company blog on its website B


ella + Canvas new company blog has been branded Beyond the Blank. It boasts in-depth resources for visitors including video, text, infographics and links to social media outlets.


Content on the site has been divided by category and offers tutorial articles, as well as editorial pieces focused on industry issues. Summer Barry, wholesale brand manager at Bella + Canvas, said: “We wanted to create a central resource hub

for all our customers where they can learn more about the brand, get printing tips, business tips, and decoration information. “We chose the name Beyond the Blank because so much of the story of a T shirt happens after it ends up in our customers hands.”


Ms Barry added that the blog provides users with a behind the scenes look at company culture and the manufacturing process of the companys T shirts. She said: “We have a broad range of


customers including screen printers, brands, and small businesses who all have different needs. This means our articles will cover beginner to expert topics alike.”


Beyond the Blank bloggers include Bella + Canvas staff and contributors from throughout the industry lending their knowledge. The blog also features an open call for writers with experience in the apparel industry to contribute content. The initial plan is for the blog to be updated once a week with a new article.
