GOODBYE 2016…

Matevz Mazij, CEO ORYX

What was the biggest event for ORYX in 2016?

Over the past year ORYX has signed a strong selection of leading operators within the European regulated market. Partnerships with Gamomat,

Gold Club, EGT and Extreme, to name a few, has ensured the ORYX portfolio is perfectly balanced with quality third-party and proprietary titles. The ORYX portfolio includes Casino, Slot,

Sportsbook and Lottery solutions as well as Live dealer content, Virtual Sports and Instant game offerings.

What do you think was the most important occurrence for the industry in 2016? Consolidation has played an integral part in the gaming industry throughout the year. This has been prevalent in both the UK market and the US. The marketplace is now becoming dominated by a select few major players, all

looking for an edge in an ever increasingly competitive space. This has created opportunities for smaller vendors like ORYX.

What are you most excited about for the industry in 2017? In 2017 the major tech providers will not be so dominant as clients look to bring on-board solutions that offer more control, more flexibility, customisation, personalisation and real time analytics. Turnkey solution providers like ORYX are in a perfect spot to offer exactly that.

What are you most excited about for your own company in 2017? Our growth within the European space has

positioned ORYX as the leading turnkey solutions provider for the e-gaming industry. One market that has been on the ORYX agenda for a while is the Latam region. With the Latam market undergoing further regulation, it offers excellent opportunities and the potential is massive for the company. We are also planning to penetrate several African and Central and South East European markets. Focus will not diminish on our original markets where we will continue to strengthen our position.

Anything else you’d like to say about the passing of 2016 and 2017’s arrival? Omni-channel has dominated the gaming

sector in 2016. Providing content across various platforms helps offline and online grow together, as operators working in regulated markets are able to leverage their retail presence and trust it to drive online growth. ORYX is now enabling retail operators to move online with a cross platform solution that allows them to maximise the benefits of their retail presence.
