revolutionary progression in Conex Bänninger’s press-fit technology. The special design of >B< MaxiPro has been specifically engineered to withstand the higher pressures of air-conditioning and refrigeration applications. In a sector dominated by traditional braze fittings, the >B< MaxiPro fittings are said to ensure significantly reduced installation time, reliability and ease of installation in refrigeration applications, that require higher operating pressures and temperatures. Franke Zielke, business unit director for central Europe commented:

“With the success of Conex Bänninger’s >B< MaxiPro launch in the Australian and American markets, ISH 2017 provided the perfect platform to showcase this innovative solution to the European market. The feedback we received from visitors was very positive and we are now looking forward to introducing this revolutionary product later this year.” In addition to >B< MaxiPro, visitors also had the chance to see Conex Bänninger’s >B< Press range of fittings, featuring the unique 3-point- press design, which ensures a secure leak-proof joint. A range of push-fit fittings, valves and ACR fittings were also on display.

ELCO A HOT TOPIC AT ISH I

SH 2017 proved to be hugely successful exhibition for ELCO Heating Solutions. Showcasing the company’s latest range of commercial boilers, hot water generators and CHP units, the stand received a large number of international visitors over the five days of the show. The exhibition attracted a wealth of experts from all sectors of the industry, with the ELCO stand proving to be very popular. Stand out products included the new TRIGON XL floor standing boiler, as well as the VARION C-POWER CHP unit – both of which have been launched in the UK in recent months. The theme of the event for ELCO illustrated the company’s commitment to engineering excellence, including the use of stainless steel in all of its heat exchangers. This was highlighted with a dedicated wall showing the complex heat exchanger designs, which contribute to ELCO’s high performance levels throughout its product portfolio. Ian Bradley, managing director at ELCO UK, said: “I’ve been attending ISH for over 25 years and every time it proves to be an invaluable exhibition for the commercial heating industry. It’s a great occasion to introduce new and existing clients to the ELCO brand, so they can understand our commitment to quality and providing premium products for the UK market.

“It was great to see so many consultants,

contractors and other industry representatives from the UK attending the show. Every year, the interest levels increase, especially in ELCO, and how we are continuing to develop our product range specifically for the UK commercial heating industry.”

OEM’s, contractors, suppliers and merchants, from countries including the USA and New Zealand were among the many visitors to the Fernox stand. On the stand were a selection of innovations from the Fernox product

range, including the Fernox TF1 Omega Filter and Fernox Filter Fluid+ Protector, which created great levels of engagement amongst attendees. “ISH is an international flagship event in the heating industry calendar,”

said Francine Wickham, global marketing director at Fernox. “We were delighted to answer technical questions, receive industry feedback and see attendees engaging with and taking such interest in the Fernox TF1 Omega Filter and our range of chemical cleaners and protectors. “Fernox is a global company so the opportunity to interact and engage with visitors from multiple continents in the same venue, from North America to Asia and Australia, was a rewarding experience.” The Fernox TF1 Omega Filter has been designed to the highest

specification and offers ease of installation. Manufactured in brass with a nickel-plated finish, it can be installed onto either horizontal or vertical pipework in both flow directions, and is supplied with either slip socket connection or high-quality valves depending on installer preference. In addition, the Fernox Filter Fluid+ Protector Express has been developed to work exclusively with inline filter technology to prolong the life of a domestic heating system. To reduce time onsite further, the TF1 Omega Filter allows chemical water treatments to be added in just 30 seconds via the filter, radiator or boiler filling loop.

AWARD WINNERS ON SHOW I

MI Hydronic Engineering showcased a range of new products for pressurisation, dirt separation, degassing, balancing, control and actuation as well as thermostatic control at ISH. These products have been developed with installers and designers in

mind, ensuring that they are of high quality, reliable and quick to install. This means less time spent on commissioning and installation, fewer customer complaints and call-backs, and more time spent enjoying after work activities with complete peace of mind. In the thermostatic control category, the Eclipse product range has further extended and the IMI Heimeier brand now offers a wider application portfolio for automatic flow control (AFC) technology. The recently launched Dynacon Eclipse combines automatic hydronic balancing and integrated flow indicators to ensure optimum heat distribution in radiant heating solutions and make installation even easier and faster. Dynacon Eclipse has been recognised for its outstanding functionality, receiving both the Plus X and Design Plus awards. Other highlights presented at the IMI Hydronic booth come from IMI TA and include larger sizes of the recently launched TA-Modulator control valve (now available DN15 – DN80) and the TA-Slider digitally configurable actuator range. Together these products offer an effective combination for modulating control, which ensures customers can obtain exactly the amount of energy required to guarantee perfect comfort and a low energy bill. The TA-Slider actuator range received the Plus X Award seal of approval for Quality, Ease of Use and Functionality. The new large sized dirt separator with cyclonic technology Zeparo G Force from the IMI Pneumatex brand was an eye catcher at the stand. Despite its size (DN65 to DN300 now available) it allows flexible installation options, both horizontally and vertically.
