Airedale is preferred


Aggreko supplier C


ooling business Airedale International has signed a preferred supplier agreement with Aggreko, specialist in power, heating and


cooling.


The new agreement will provide Airedale’s UK customers with access to Aggreko’s extensive fleet of power generation and temperature control solutions, backed by Airedales nationwide team of HVAC specialists.


Customers are expected to benefit from a total rental solution, from initial site survey through to installation, commissioning, servicing, refuelling and site removal.


In addition to rental services for breakdowns and planned maintenance, Airedale will also be providing specialist risk management and testing services under the agreement. The business will be responsible for contingency planning, offering a contingency plan package that encompasses initial surveys and identification of suitable equipment, with detailed site-specific instructions and a guaranteed response time


Airedale will also provide Integrated Systems


Testing (IST) for data centres, including stress testing before installation; verifying the performance of generators, PDUs and UPS units during commissioning and on an ongoing basis; and accurately simulating the load of power systems to ensure they can reliably meet the power needs of the site in question.


W Precision celebrates 10 years


ith business up 30% in the past year, exports accounting for 40% of production, and sales to the Middle East up 500% compared to 2017, Brexit does not seem to be a problem for Precision Refrigeration. In fact, the business is looking to double production capacity over the next two years. The company makes commercial refrigeration for the foodservice industry and counts many illustrious chefs among its customers, including Michel Roux Junior.


2008 was the year that the business became Precision Refrigeration and focused its output on the foodservice industry. It was also the year that managing director Nick Williams joined the firm. He said: “These last 10 years have been an amazing success story; it just shows what a team working together can achieve. From research and development through production to the sales force and our dealer network, we have a fabulous pool of expertise made up of dedicated, hardworking and creative people.”

SBS Newcastle open day a success

mith Brothers Newcastle held its open day on Friday 20 July, with customers, staff and suppliers congregating in the 22,000 sq ft premises on the Team Valley industrial estate to celebrate the official opening of the branch. Attendees enjoyed a hog roast, a free bar and SBS merchandise, as well as a penalty shoot-out simulator. The shoot-out winner was even rewarded with a golden boot trophy from special guest Steve Watson, former NUFC player and current Gateshead FC manager.


Newly appointed branch, manager, Brian Smith, and his team were presented with a cake from the SBS directors to wish them good luck and a successful future with the company. The new

branch is already thriving, surpassing expectations and setting excellent foundations


for future expansion and growth in the local North East area.


The Newcastle branch has been open since March this year and is a part of a 14 depot network throughout England and Wales.


Mr Smith said: “Thank you to all our customers and suppliers who attended the event. The suppliers were able to showcase their products and had a great day interacting with staff and customers alike. It was great to see some new faces on the day and they all seemed really impressed with the branch


and stockholding.”


SBS director, Martin Denton, added: “It was wonderful to see such a good turnout and to see our staff interacting with our customers at the new branch in Newcastle. This is a huge testament to the team that Brian has assembled in the North East; clearly they are very well respected and liked. Thank you to both the customers and suppliers who invested their time to be there on the day. I know we all have very busy schedules, so it was appreciated.”

Mixing 50s styling with the very latest technology, Retro has turned a restaurant’s refrigeration from kitchen workhorse to a talking point and a style feature. Mr Williams explained: “Our research and development department is working on new models to extend the range. Retro was originally conceived as a one-off, but it’s generated a huge buzz of interest and, while it’s still a relatively small part of our overall business, we’re obviously looking to make the most of its success.” Since 2008, Precision’s sales have increased at an annual average of 25 percent, hence plans to expand production. It is expected that the company will be recruiting more factory operatives, engineers and support staff. The business is celebrating its anniversary with two birthday parties – one at a venue near its factory and offices in Thetford, and one in London at the Orrery in Marylebone, London. “The parties will be a ‘thank you’ to our staff, our dealers and our customers for all their support and input into Precision’s success,” concluded Mr Williams.
