Advertorials Brainboxes range for new and retrofit
applications Process control is changing and you may need to upgrade but don’t want to throw out an otherwise good system.
Factories invariably end up with jam packed cabinets, nightmare runs of cables and a mixture of ‘temporary’ fixes. New equipment should be an improvement that doesn’t add to the problem.
Brainboxes have developed their industrial range to address these
issues and provide a solution that’s great for both new applications and retrofit. From the slim compact shape and wide temperature range, for when you are constrained by space or environment, to the familiar Modbus or ASCII commands, these products deliver the right spec. Enabling control and monitoring alongside 4-20mA devices eliminating the need for long runs of noise prone cabling. Providing you with accurate and precise analogue data.
The ED-560 provides remote Analogue control that’s fully configured and operational within minutes - unlocking the hidden potential of your production line.

Omron launches enhanced and cost-effective MOSFET relays
Omron Electronic Components Europe has launched two cost-effective new general purpose MOSFET relays featuring enhanced performance including improved dielectric strength at a very competitive price. These general purpose devices are suitable for a huge range of applications including building automation, security, communications systems, industrial control and battery powered systems.
The Omron G3VM-61VY2 and G3VM-351VY are cost-effective MOSFET relay solutions for a wide range of 60V and 350V AC or DC switching applications. A significant feature of these devices is their high dielectric strength, at 3750V between the inputs and the outputs.
Both devices offer an enhanced specification compared to existing Omron solutions. The G3VM-61VY2 has a higher continuous load current of 500mA, with an on resistance Ron of just 2 Ohms. The G3VM-351VY offers a faster turn-off time than previously, of 0.5ms maximum, 0.1ms typical. Other improvements include a wide operating temperature range of -40 to +110 degrees Celsius for both devices. In other respects, the new devices match the favourable characteristics of the existing popular range.
Omron G3VM-61VY2 and G3VM-351VY MOSFET relays are halogen free and compliant with JEDEC reflow solder profile. Packaged in a special SOP-4 pin format, they are pin compatible with existing Omron MOSFET relay styles. Omron is offering the devices in a choice of tube and tape and reel packaging.

ROLEC’s new multiPANEL designer
command/display enclosures ROLEC’s new ultra-modern multiPANEL designer command and display enclosures combine technical finesse with maximum flexibility.
These highly attractive and versatile IP 65 enclosures are designed for fitting to suspension arms and can be specified for a huge range of applications involving displays, touchscreens and flush integration of PCs.
New multiPANEL is suitable for every conceivable mounting variant. It can be installed hanging, upright or on a movable suspension arm.
It is possible to glue panels or plates flush into the enclosure front or screw them in place from the inside (mounting them either flush or recessed).
Four rear options are available: flat panel with lock and external hinges; simple bolted flat panel; framed rear door with lock and internal hinges in depths of either 15 mm or 60 mm.
New multiPANEL is available in three depths – 70 mm, 85 mm and 130 mm – and in custom-specified lengths or widths up to a maximum 800 mm x 800 mm. It is manufactured from extruded aluminium with stainless steel trims.
Options include an ergonomic grab handle. Its asymmetric shape offers room for a laser-engraved logo or legends.
ROLEC has designed multiPANEL for mounting on its modern and ergonomic profiPLUS (IP 54) aluminium suspension arms.
This elegant, modular multivariable system can handle loads between 80 kg and 40 kg depending upon configuration. Simple ‘one screw adjustment’ speeds up installation times.
ROLEC profiPLUS is available in two tube diameters (50 mm and 70 mm) – both of which offer spacious routing for USB, HDMI, DVI and CP-Link 4 cables. All the junctions have integrated cable protectors.
