Renold Oil Condition Monitoring System Renold Gears introduces its new Oil Condition Monitoring System
The Renold OCMS is designed with the very latest in oil condition monitoring technology and features an oil quality sensor that is an impressive 60 times more sensitive to contamination. It constantly monitors oil quality and notifies you immediately at the first sign of any problem.
As approximately 75% of all drive system failures are the result of oil contamination the new Renold OCMS has been designed to cut downtime, increase production, reduce maintenance and, ultimately, the overall cost of ownership.
The Renold OCMS increases reliability and performance by continuously monitoring the condition of the oil and reports on any early signs of problems, before they become a problem, enabling immediate corrective action to be taken. It is easy to use with an Oil Quality Display that is engineered to provide outstanding performance with a robust IP67 rated enclosure. It is an effective way to display the real-time condition of the gearbox oil that provides an all-round view of oil performance.

The OCMS reduces expenditure on expensive lubricants and waste disposal as the oil only needs to be changed when required, based on exact knowledge of its condition. It maintains optimal operating conditions and reduces oil consumption creating a safer working environment.
The new OCMS can be used on its own, as a stand-alone system, or it can simply be connected to a variety of control and display devices such as PLCs, Smart Phones and tablets. It enables service intervals to be optimised by accurately predicting when future maintenance will be required without risking equipment performance or reliability.
The Oil Quality Display Mobile App can be downloaded onto your Android devices to enable direct communication with the Oil Quality Display Express unit via Bluetooth. This allows you to check any readings within a 10 metre radius and download the logged data for further analysis.
A Mobile Oil Testing (MOT) kit is also available to conduct accurate condition sample tests of any oil, anywhere, in seconds. It's the world's most advanced portable oil testing kit and gives an instant readout of the oil's precise condition from just a small sample. The MOT is an invaluable field service and maintenance tool that helps ensure equipment runs reliably and efficiently. The MOT will quickly pay for itself through extended service intervals and reduced breakdowns.
