A MARYLAND HORSE COUNCIL PUBLICATION

by Carrie Hull T is issue of T e Equiery means a lot to me. T e entire

staff has been working hard on producing this fi rst of many future November issues that focuses on how YOU give back to the Maryland horse community with not only your time and dedication, but also through chari- table giving to your favorite local organizations. T is year, we put out a call for nominations of volun-

teers, staff , and horses that have made a signifi cant diff er- ence in their non-profi t organizations. T e response was OVERWHELMING! Marylanders have been making a diff erence for decades, but 2019 is surely a standout year for volunteerism and philanthropy in the horse community! Make sure to check out the article on page 19 “Marylanders Paying it Forward” to read all about this year’s honorees. Additional stories will be posted online throughout the month. T ere were just so many incred- ible individuals to highlight that we have expanded online coverage this month.
