Maryland 5 Star at Fair Hill • October 13-17
A boat with fl owers was placed in the Holding Pond near the end of the CCI5* cross-country course in memory of longtime Fair Hill volunteer and organizer Bodgie Read. The memorial was put together by Ashley Conlon, whose The Fern Farmer business was the offi cial Floral Designer and Plant Provider for the Maryland 5 Star.
EquestrAsian Sports Association of Maryland held a tailgate gathering on cross- country day.

Course builder Eric Bull with cross-country jump judges MarySue Mood and Stacy Iacono.
The U.S. Army Caisson Platoon was on hand for a demonstration and for spectators to meet their horses at Horseland behind the main arena.
Although British rider Oliver Townend may not be from Mary- land, his CCI3*-L mount Ulises is! Juli Hutchings Sebring owns Ulises, who ended up fi nishing third in the division.

The Maryland-bred Quantum Leap was ridden to a top 10 placing in the CCI5*-L by rider/owner Doug Payne. Quantum Leap was bred by Elizabeth Callahan of Oxford.
