Strategic agenda for
bike/ped investment Federal funding for pedestrian and bicycle transportation has increased from $113 million in 1994 to a peak of $1.2 billion in 2009; funding for 2014 was $820 million. The Federal Highway Administration developed a Strategic Agenda for Pedestrian and Bicycle Transportation to guide planning, design, and safety resources, foster pub- lic participation, and ensure accessibility.
