Saracen Facilities secures major structural refurbishment project in Hammersmith

eading workplace consultant, Saracen Interiors has commenced work on site in Hammersmith for one of its existing blue chip clients. The structural refurbishment project, valued at approximately £1 million, has been undertaken by Saracen Facilities, the company’s FM division, and involves a rolling programme of maintenance and repair work. Saracen has worked for the client, a leading global environmental services provider, for over a decade, carrying out fit outs and small works across the company’s UK commercial property portfolio. This latest project, an investigative programme of work, includes repairs to the roof areas and brickwork and the refurbishment of the carpark which has been water logged. All work is being carried out around existing tennants with the minimum of disruption. Joint managing director of Saracen Interiors, Michael Page is delighted to have the Saracen Facilities team ensconced at this address: “The team is working in what was the old Lyons building; a site which comes with some historic significance and is known in the wider area. Although we’ve done a lot of work with this client over the years, this is the first time it has engaged our facilities team for stand alone services and we see it as a clear demonstration of the trust that the client has in our company and the brand. It gives a strong message about Saracen Facilities – we’re a safe pair of hands.” Saracen Facilities has built up a strong base of customers since its launch, alongside Saracen Small Works and Saracen Move Management, three years ago and now undertakes facilities management solutions for over 75 per cent of the company’s fit out clients. Mike explains: “We’ve seen a trend in clients asking for a facilities management package to be factored in to our quote as they want contractors who know every inch of the building and are familiar with the mechanical and electrical installation to oversee its maintenance. “It certainly makes sense in the long-term as we know all the regulations relating to their office and know details such as when the air conditioning systems needs servicing and what guarantees are in place. We are a lot closer to the work than any other facilities management operator might be. “For existing clients, there is

reassurance in that they know the quality of our work and that we are able to provide a local and reliable service. Operating as a one stop shop means that we can ensure all operations run smoothly and keep costs down for the client – and cost still factors highly in the current market !” Mike’s assertions are backed up by Saracen Facilities’ growth, with

turnover increasing by a further 20 per cent in the last six months alone. Mike adds: “Our growth in this area is driven by our customers appreciation for the team’s high level of expertise and its knowledge of all aspects of commercial property as well as Saracen Facilities’ 24/7 integrated care solution.” Saracen Interiors is renowned for its office interiors which it creates to the highest levels of specification, from consultation, to design and space planning, through to project management, fit out and completion. Over the last 30 years it has built a reputation for quality and expertise, completing interiors for some of the most prestigious organisations in the UK.
