Have you Booked your Holiday? Late Bookings on the Up for This Summer
CLICK&GO has released a Travel Sentiment Survey that shows more than two thirds of people are yet to book their summer 2023 hol- iday. The survey examined answers from 1,743 respond- ents.

Northern Ireland’s Airports Set to End 100ml Liquid Rule to see
ALL three of Northern Ireland’s main airports are set

Belfast
International Airport and City of Derry Airport are all set to relax the 100ml liquid rule before the Government’s June 2024 deadline. London City Airport and Teeside Airport on the UK mainland are ahead of the curve and have already installed the new high- tech CT scanners required to scrap the 100ml liquid rule. Passengers flying from both these airports are now permitted to have two litres of liquids and electronics in their hand luggage after new technology was rolled out at security. UK Transport

the latest security tech installed, reducing queuing times, improving the passenger experience,
and
most importantly detecting potential threats.”
Belfast International Airport said it is “on course” to have the specialist security equipment in place by next summer while Belfast City Airport also said it will comply with all security requirements within the “relevant timeframes”. Steve Frazer,

Director of city of Derry Airport confirmed that “cabin baggage next generation security scanning equipment” will be installed as required under the new regulation before the June 2024 deadline. He said: “We are currently seeking providers and lead times to meet this requirement. “We believe this will further enhance

a spokesperson confirming: “Dublin Airport Authority (DAA) continues to implement the EU- wide aviation security regulation in relation to the 100ml limit for liquids, lotions, gels and pastes at Dublin and Cork airports. “However, DAA is currently trialling new enhanced X-ray technology at Dublin Airport which passengers will have noticed as they travelled through the airport since last Christmas.” “When

The relaxation of the liquid rules are in line with the Government’s deadline for high- tech CT scanners to be installed in most UK airports by June 2024.
