LYBE Ltd is set to go on sale with a full list of routes, destinations, and everyday low fares due to be announced for its first two bases of operation at Birmingham and Belfast City Airport.


Having announced Birmingham as the home of its new headquarters and first crew base in November, Flybe have announced that it will also be adding Belfast City Airport to its network—as its second main base of operations with


plans to rapidly grow, create more jobs, and add more flights as the summer progresses. Flybe CEO, Dave Pflieger, stated that this is an “exciting time for customers and communities that have been waiting to hear from us about low fares, new routes, and new destinations—all of which are being timed to coincide with the restart of the economy and a return to normality after two difficult years for all. “As you’ve heard, our team has been working hard for over a year and a half to bring customers a new airline that people will love, and we are particularly excited to be flying to Belfast City Airport and serving Northern Ireland.

FROM 31 March, unvaccinated travellers from the United Kingdom will be permitted to enter France. This announcement comes as France moves the United Kingdom to its green travel list.


Taking to Twitter, Consul General of France in London, Guillaume Bazard stated that, “On 03/31, the United Kingdom will placed on the green list.” With a further announcement that non-vaccinated UK travellers will no longer need to provide compelling


ones, go on holiday, and more easily visit customers or attend important meetings.


“Given that goal, Flybe hopes to do its part to help communities across the country bounce back from the dramatic impact of the global pandemic.” Flybe will fly from Belfast City Airport to Birmingham, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, London Heathrow, Edinburgh, East Midlands, Manchester, Southampton,Inverness, Newcastle, Amsterdam and Aberdeen.


Flights will launch from April 13th 2022 and will continue to launch until the end of August 2022. Many flights take off up to 4x daily, with the exception of Leeds Bradford (3x daily), London Heathrow (2x daily), Edinburgh (3x daily), East Midlands (2x daily) and Southampton (2x daily).

Unvaccinated travellers will still be required to provide proof of a negative PCR test results, taken no more than 72 hours prior to arrival or a negative antigen test, taken no more than 48 hours prior to arrival. Spanish Tourist Board Issue Apology for Incorrect Covid


Update The Spanish Tourist Office in the UK issued a statement recently which was incorrect. The statement said that from today, April 6th, non-vaccinated UK passengers can now enter Spain with proof of a negative PCR or antigen test, or proof of diagnostic recovery and without the need to be double vaccinated. This was misinterpreted and is not correct. UK travellers aged 12 and above are still required to show proof of being fully-vaccinated or a certificate of recovery. There is an exception for those aged 12 to 17 (inclusive) who can show a negative COVID test (PCR of similar) taken within 72 hours of arrival.


Pedro Medina, deputy director of the Spanish Tourist Office in the UK says:


“We apologise unreservedly for the miscommunication earlier today which was due to a misunderstanding of the new entry requirements.” UK travellers, aged 12 and above will need to fulfill the below criteria: 1.- Certificate of vaccination: Proof of being fully- vaccinated (with both doses of a two-dose vaccine or one dose of a one-dose vaccine) at least 14 days prior to arrival in Spain. If more than 270 days have passed since the final dose, certification of a booster vaccination is also required, except for teenagers aged 12 to 17 (inclusive). 2.- Certificate of recovery: Proof that the passenger


has recovered from COVID. Recovery certificates issued by the official authorities will be valid at least 11 days after the first NAAT diagnostic test or positive antigen screening test, carried out by qualified personnel. The certificate shall be valid for 180 days after the date of the first positive diagnostic test result. Children under 12 years old are exempt when travelling with an adult. From 6 April, children under 12 and those travelling to Spain with an EU COVID passport or equivalent (including NHS COVID travel pass) no longer need to complete the Health Control Form (FCS in Spanish) prior to arrival. Those without an EU COVID pass or equivalent must complete the Health Control Form to show evidence of their vaccinations or certificate of recovery.
