Catherine is latest winner of Blue Insurance car promotion

BLUE Insurance has announced that the December 2017 finalist of their car promotion is Catherine O’Dwyer from Bowe Travel, Tipperary.
The competition, which is running in association with Toyota Sandyford, The Home of Hybrid, started in November last year and will run until November 2018.
The competition is giving one lucky travel agent or broker the chance to take home a brand new Toyota Yaris Hybrid.
All travel agents have to do to become one of the 13 monthly finalists is sell travel insurance policies! Every five policies sold each month will automatically entitle the agent to one entry into
the monthly draw. Each agent must ensure that the insurance product sold is suitable for their client and must also make sure they have their own unique login to make their bookings count. Members of the Irish Travel Trade or Insurance Brokers can also avail of the 1 bonus place at the Grand Final by visiting Toyota Sandyford and requesting a test drive saying, 'Don’t Renew Unless It’s Blue'.

The announcement sees Aviareps responsible for the airline’s sales promotions, marketing and public relations activities, as well as direct ticket sales, within the United Kingdom and Ireland. On December 1, 2017 China Airlines introduced a new non-stop service between London Gatwick and Taipei’s Taoyuan International which is expected to not only drive travel demand from the UK and Ireland to Taiwan, but also provide excellent access, service and an alternative route for those travelling on to Australia, New Zealand and other Asian destinations within the China Airlines network.

Advantage/Consort tieup
CONSORT Travel Group (Consort), an existing member of Advantage Travel Partnership (Advantage), has appointed Advantage to manage the Northern Ireland consortium for the next five years, with the group maintaining its identity as Consort.
Advantage, the UK’s largest independent travel agent consortium, will oversee the implementation and management of meetings and events, as well as training days and member networking opportunities.
Sandra Corkin, Board member at Consort Travel Group and Managing Director of Oasis Travel, commented: “We are excited to see how Consort develops over the next five years under the management of Advantage. “Our members and friends have built a successful consortium and the appointment of Advantage was a natural step as we benefit from the expertise that Advantage offers to members so, why not their management too.”

Formed in 1985, Consort has 16 independent travel agent members with 31 shops throughout Northern Ireland. All Consort members are current Advantage members and they will continue to access the same benefits as prior to the management appointment. The board of Consort will also remain in place as an advisory board with the new management model offering a holistic approach to business.
