88.

With the exception of the land at the converter station, all land and drains would be reinstated after construction and therefore following mitigation no significant impacts are predicted.

89.

Several different soil types would be crossed by the onshore transmission works, however the value of these soils was considered to be low. The outline CoCP would incorporate best practice techniques and no significant impacts are predicted to soils as a result of the proposed East Anglia THREE project.

90.

The landfall and onshore cable route cross a number of public rights of way (PRoW). Impacted PRoWs would be temporarily closed and a diversion put in place, avoiding disturbance to users and avoiding any significant impacts. For many PRoWs and all cycle routes there would be no closures or diversions.

91. 92.

Given the potential changes to the access routes under Scenario 1, the assessment will need to be updated for the ES and DCO application.

The landfall and onshore cable route cross a number of utilities related to domestic services for gas, electricity, water and sewerage connections. EATL would identify services on the ground prior to construction in consultation with utility providers, and undertake utility crossings or diversions in accordance with the appropriate standards for such crossings or works, avoiding any potential impacts.

93.

The potential effects arising from electromagnetic fields of the cables during operation were considered, and the embedded mitigation within the design of the cables and cable installation process are considered to reduce any potential impacts to negligible.

94. No impacts during operation were considered to result in more than a minor adverse impact.

95. 96.

It is anticipated that the impacts during decommissioning would be similar to those identified for construction although these are likely to be of lower magnitude.

Given that that the three proposed East Anglia Offshore Wind projects will not overlap in terms of construction, cumulative impacts are not considered to be greater than those assessed for construction.

30.3.5 Chapter 23 Ecology 97.

Potential impacts have been assessed for a number of ecological receptors, including designated sites, flora and fauna. Impacts have been assessed with respect to embedded mitigation including receptor specific measures where required (e.g. for bats, badgers and trees) which would be included in the outline landscape and
