Diagram 21 Potential mitigation area requirements if 244m Turbines used throughout the East Anglia THREE site

16.7.2 NATS Cromer Radar 82.

Turbines higher than 20m above the contours depicted at Diagram 14 may be detected by NATS Cromer radar. As the Cromer radar LoS at the closest point of the East Anglia THREE site, being the North West corner, is 204m AMSL, this modelling supports the conclusion that the East Anglia THREE site could accommodate 220m turbines across the entire area and would require no further mitigation. If turbines larger than 220m are utilised, then technical mitigation may be required by NATS.

83. Diagram 25 is illustrative of the area of mitigation that may be required if 244m turbines are utilised. The area is effectively less than the LoS contours due to the reduced Pd.
