There remain a few titles from THE VINCENT PRICE COLLECTION II still to be discussed. The set also includes the first Blu-ray ap- pearances of three B&W Price vehicles, two of which pre-date his AIP contract. William Castle’s HOUSE ON HAUNTED HILL is a public domain title that, even now, is best preserved on DVD by the Warner Home Video label, who hold the direct chain-of-title and original elements from their acquisition of the Allied Artists library. One of the truly quintessential Vincent Price movies, this beloved tongue-in-cheek thriller has previously appeared on DVD from Warner (1999, a two-sided disc offering the film in both standard and theatrical ratios) and 20th Century Fox (2005, also two-sided, presenting the film in a 1.85:1 ratio on both sides, one of them, ahem, colorized by Legend Films), the Warner disc having the edge.
