Welcome to our latest issue of EC Electronics News
We hope this latest newsletter will help you keep in touch with developments in the EC programme and bring to your attention news from inside the company as well as the Electronics manufacturing industry.
A Message from the Managing Director
After the excitement of our 30th Anniversary celebrations and winning the Inspire Business of the Year award, 2014 looked like a tough act to follow!
However, 2015 has started with a bang at EC. Already this year a number of new customers have chosen EC as their preferred manufacturing partner, bringing some fantastic innovative projects that we hope will run for several years.
I’m also pleased to announce in this issue of the newsletter EC’s sponsorship of the newly created “Manufacturing Business of the Year” category at the Inspire Business Awards. Being a sponsor is a new experience for us and I am looking forward to getting involved in the judging process.
So, as usual things are moving along quickly at EC but we never forget
that our customers are our lifeblood and we remain proud of our track record of providing you with high quality manufacturing services, management longevity and financial stability.

EC’s Bill Green to take part in the 2015- 2016 Clipper Round the World Yacht Race
EC’s Bill Green has signed up to sail in the 2015 – 2016 Clipper Round the World yacht race in support of the Old Basing Scout Group’s (OBSG) campaign to raise funds for a new permanent meeting facility.
OBSG membership has grown to over 150 boys and girls each week and currently has to meet in a variety of facilities (school and church halls when available). OSBG owns the land on which the current Scout HQ is situated, which was unfortunately condemned as unfit for use in 2007 due to flooding.
Bill wants to help turn OSBG’s dream of a new facility into reality by raising sponsorship from his adventure, with the proceeds going towards OSBG’s target of raising £250k to fund their new Scout HQ. A keen dingy sailor for many years, Bill’s first race will start from St Katherine’s dock in London on 30th August 2015 and finish in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He will sail non stop for 5200 nautical miles and will be at sea for 26 – 30 days. Bill has to complete a rigorous training programme prior to starting the race, including 25 days training at sea. Training will cover the RYA competent crew and survival at sea certifications, together with advanced sail trim, race techniques and team fine tuning.
If you would like to provide sponsorship or donate to help Bill’s charity fundraising campaign you can donate online at
