The Hugo Cartridge™ System

uSWEDISH QUALITY PRODUCTS The Hugo Cartridge is a specially developed packaging for grease. It is manufactured in a standard size for 400 g grease guns but can also be used in some 500 g grease guns. Our cartridges and caps are 100 % recyclable.

uSAFE AND SIMPLE HANDLING The injection-moulded cartridge guarantees consistent quality and high stability. The bottom has an inner seal that locks with the pull cap and the outer edge prevents the cartridge from slipping. The leak-proof pull cap secures the content during fi lling, transport

and storage. The cartridge can be fi lled with hot grease, up to 70 °C. The pull cap is easily removed using the pull ring. The cartridge can also be resealed by replacing the pull cap. Seals at both ends guarantee a fully sealed, leak-proof operation. For lubrication of open surfaces,

The Hugo Cartridge is used with a Hugo Grease Applicator.

uPRINTING UP TO SIX COLOURS The Hugo Cartridge has a very smooth surface that is ideal for advanced screen printing. Designs of your choice can be printed with up to six colours.

Lube Magazine

New Printer If you are a subscriber who receives the printed edition of LUBE Magazine, then you will have noticed something subtly different about the look and feel of the last two copies.

We are very pleased to announce that the printing of LUBE Magazine has been taken over by the award-winning, Wales-based printing company Pensord. In a moment, you can get to know them better through a piece they have provided introducing themselves.

LUBE Magazine was fortunate enough to have been invited to take a tour of Pensord’s printing facility in November 2016. In addition to it being most illuminating to see exactly what goes into the production of various periodicals after they have been signed off by the editor, the visit also made clear to us the great diligence, capability and expertise of Pensord as a printer.

At LUBE, we strive for the best of the best in all respects when it comes to the production of the Magazine, and we feel that Pensord fits this description admirably. We have been made to feel very welcome as new clients by Pensord, both on the day of the visit and in our

business interactions thus far and we look forward to a long future of working with them.

Please read on to learn a bit more about Pensord and their history from their Commercial Manager, Louise Williams...

Pensord was founded in 1969 for the purpose of producing one sole title, Record Retailer. Over the past 47 years we have grown considerably and through a plan of continual investment, particularly in recent years, and a lot of hard work from a dedicated team, we have become printing guardian of over 400 regular magazines for over 200 different customers.

We strive to build strong partnerships with all customers and suppliers as we value them as vital to the success of our business. Customer service is of paramount importance to us and the focus we place on this was recognised as we were awarded Customer Service Team of the Year at the 2016 PrintWeek (the industry’s leading magazine) Awards. We are also proud to be the reigning BPIF (British Printing Industry Federation) Company of the Year and of the other production and environmental awards we have amassed along the way.

As a strategic partner of the Independent Publishers Network, we provide advice and support to publishers on all aspects

of the magazine’s production, in print and other formats, from ways to create innovative advertising solutions to calculating the carbon footprint, and many more things in between.

We are delighted to be the new print partner for LUBE Magazine and look forward to working together on exciting projects in the future. Before we are supplied with print ready files to produce the magazine, a great deal of work has already taken place by the team at LUBE, providing interesting and informative content and designing how this appears within the magazine, and following this there are many processes involved at our end to create the finished magazine that you receive. Each page goes through our vigorous quality checks before it is imposed into its correct position and then printing plates are outputted. These are loaded onto our lithographic printing presses where the images from the plates are transferred onto a rubber blanket then onto paper. Flat, printed sheets are then folded before binding, with quality checks occurring at every process. And that’s without including the procurement of paper, ink, stitching wire, binding glue and of course lubricant!
