BBT ROUNDS UP THE LATEST BUSINESS TRAVEL INDUSTRY APPOINTMENTS
STEWART HARVEY
Stewart Harvey has been appointed as president of the EMEA region for BCD Travel. Harvey worked at HRG for 25 years, most recently as group commercial director. He is set to join BCD once a period of contractual obligation to HRG is completed.
CLIVE WRATTEN
CTI Corporate Travel International has appointed Clive Wratten as sales and marketing director. Wratten joins the company from Etihad Airways, where he was UK general manager for eight years.
ERIK VARWIJK Virgin Atlantic has appointed Erik Varwijk as executive VP of commercial. He is responsible for leading all commercial teams. Varwijk was previously with Air France-KLM, where he worked for more than 25 years.
JULIAN MILLS
Julian Mills has been appointed as commercial head for global corporate business, at ATPI Group. He was previously director at Traveldoo Technologies, and has more than 25 years’ travel industry experience, including in the corporate and airline sectors.
NINA BELL
Avis Budget Group has appointed Nina Bell as managing director, northern region, with responsibility for rental operations in Denmark, Norway, Sweden and the UK. Bell has 12 years’ experience with Avis Budget.
FRANCESCA MENDOLA Travel Leaders UK has appointed Francesca Mendola as business development manager. She joins the firm, which incorporates Tzell UK and Protravel UK, from the five-star Stafford London hotel, where she was senior sales manager.
JAMES EDMUNDS James Edmunds has been appointed as head of academic department for travel and aviation at Buckinghamshire New University. He will oversee various travel- and tourism- related BA (Hons) and BSc (Hons) degree courses.
DINO GELMETTI Sabre has appointed Dino Gelmetti as vice-president of Sabre Airline Solutions for the EMEA region. Gelmetti has 20 years’ experience in the IT industry, most recently as global sales director for technology services firm Xchanging.
JAMES HARRISON Etihad Airways has appointed James Harrison as general manager for the UK. Harrison, who has more than 25 years’ of travel industry experience, takes up the role after two years as Etihad Airways’ general manager for Canada.

ROSEMARIE ANDOLINO Manchester Airports Group (MAG) has appointed Rosemarie Andolino as CEO and president of North American business. Andolino joins MAG following more than 12 years in international airport management.
ERIC HALLERBERG Eric Hallerberg has been appointed as country director for the UK and Ireland, at Sabre. He brings 11 years’ GDS experience to the role. Since starting at Sabre in 2004, he has held various posts, most recently as regional managing director of accounts.
JUSTIN FITZGERALD Justin Fitzgerald has been appointed as key account manager at Philippine Airlines, with a portfolio of OTAs and TMCs. His previous account and sales management roles include posts with Garuda Indonesia and US Airways.
