At the 8th ICMBMP in Delhi

The 8th international conference of the World Society for Mushroom Biology and Mushroom Products was held in New Delhi, India from 19 to 22 November 2014.

A 8 MUSHROOM BUSINESS
s it is now winter in India, the climate was pleasant, with rela- tively cool nights. The conference was organised by the Directorate
of Mushroom Research of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). The conference, that was held in the NASC Complex, was attended by 320 visitors, representing about 30 different nationalities, the majority of whom were from India. At the small trade fair, Mycelia/ SacO2 was the only western supplier presenting.
The conference programme featured 86 lectures, divided into ten sessions. The most notable presentations will be summarised here.
Medicinal properties The first lecture at the conference was given by Dr. Daniel Royse, who provided an overview of the production volumes of Lentinula, Pleurotus, Agaricus, Auricularia and Flammulina (the high five).
