January Furniture Show Floors The Competition


With some of the biggest and best known names in the flooring business, the January Furniture Show’s first Flooring Showcase has doubled in size and sold out in less than four months.


Working with the buying group SMG, the dedicated area in Hall 2 is packed with an abundance of exhibitors eager to show visitors a huge selection of carpets, wood flooring, LVT, laminate, vinyl, rugs, underlay and accessories at what is the UK’s leading furniture and furnishings show.

Brintons Strengthens Global Presence with European Acquisition


Kidderminster-based Brintons, the global manufacturer of bespoke carpets, has announced the acquisition of F.D Agnella, the Polish-based manufacturer and supplier of high quality carpets and rugs.


The deal will strengthen the company’s global position as one of the world’s leading carpet suppliers. Brintons is the royal warrantied carpet manufacturer, producing a wide range of premium and innovative Axminster and Wilton broadloom carpets, tiles and hand tufted rugs for both the domestic and commercial markets. Mike Symonds of SMG said: “The Flooring Showcase idea has been tremendously well received by a number of our approved suppliers and has more than doubled in size from the original concept.


“With over 500m² of flooring on display, the Flooring Showcase suppliers will be attempting to reach out to all flooring retailers to offer greater customer choice. In terms of presentation the bar will be raised very high by all suppliers at this important event.”

Agnella’s manufacturing expertise and product portfolio will further enhance Brintons’ offering.

Kirona Shortlisted for Retail Systems Award


Kirona has been shortlisted for Retail System’s Technology Vendor of the Year award through helping Carpetright to optimise their Home Consultant service using their innovation software solutions.
