FLOWFRESH FLOWCRETE
The polyurethane flooring system Flowfresh, has been designed to create ultra-hygienic surfaces that can maintain a clean surface even in the face of the most challenging industrial and commercial environments.
The key aspects of Flowfresh, making it an ultra-hygienic flooring system, include its highly durable nature combined with its ability to incorporate coving and stainless steel drainage.
Flowfresh has even achieved HACCP International Certification thanks to its ability to create a food safe floor area within food and beverage facilities. This certification means that food and beverage brands operating a HAACP Food Safety Management Program can specify Flowfresh, safe in the knowledge that it will meet the regulatory authority’s standards for safe procurement, production and processing as well as the requirements of the world’s leading quality and food safety standards.
Flowfresh includes the natural silver-ion based antibacterial agent Polygiene®. This additive is homogenously distributed throughout the system, empowering the resin material with the ability to eliminate up to 99.9% of bacteria in contact with the floor.
The bactericidal property of Flowfresh has been proven to meet the ISO 22196 standard, which measures a surface’s antibacterial effectiveness on plastics and other non-porous surfaces.
Flowfresh is typically trowelled or slurry broadcast to deliver a seamless finish that is resistant to a wide range of chemicals, solvents and food by-products as well as intermittent temperatures of up to 120°C – making it ideal for facilities undertaking hot water wash- downs and steam cleaning.
The new technology
HANDS HQ HANDS HQ
London-based, technology company HANDS HQ have launched a new app in a bid to cut the costs associated with producing risk assessments by up to 90%.
enables construction subcontractors to
complete accurate risk assessments and method statement (RAMS) documentation easily, both of which are legal requirements before operatives can enter a live construction site.
HANDS HQ’s new technology takes the form of a cloud-based, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) application, which means rather than having to create lengthy Excel and Word documents, which are time- consuming, workers can simply add key details for a project and complete a step-by-step process.
Workers are able to select works relevant to the job in hand from a series of standard answers to create a customised report quickly and efficiently.
The web app can be accessed via the internet from any computer, tablet or smartphone, and has been designed to be simple and easy to use, to ensure all workers can produce well formatted, company-branded documents regardless of their technical ability.
The new app also encourages workers to engage directly with the risks they face on an upcoming project, which transforms the exercise from a bureaucratic requirement to a useful exercise for considering and mitigating health and safety risks.
