Any advanced vacuum must also safeguard indoor air quality. The VTVe has three-stage filtration. A HEPA 13 filter and fleece bag captures all particles of 0.3 microns and larger. The bag also has a closing feature to prevent dust particles from escaping while it being replaced.


Both its crevice tool and dusting brush are stored conveniently at the back of the machine, while a wand holder facilitates tidy storage. Similar attention to detail has been paid in the design of the vacuum’s carry handle. It’s moulded to accommodate the VTVe’s wand, which sits atop the handle, so the machine can easily be carried in one hand.


Ideal for a wide range of premises – from schools and colleges to nursing homes and offices – the VTVe can also be equipped with optional accessories for detailed cleaning and hard-to-reach areas.

CORDLESS PIONEER In another technological leap for the humble vacuum, we’re proud that Tacony designers have achieved an industry first. The latest addition to our range of Valet Upright vacuums is cordless.


The award-winning Valet Battery Upright (VBU) was also launched at this year’s Cleaning Show, where it collected an accolade for innovation.


Like its tub counterpart, this machine is lightweight (at just 5kg) yet packs the power to deliver pristine cleaning results.


Without the hassle of a trailing cable, the VBU is ideal for daytime cleaning around customers and employees, or in healthcare settings.


A lithium ion battery provides more than 60 minutes of runtime, and fully re-charges in 2.5 hours. This 43.8V battery supplies some 312W of vacuum motor power. A battery level

indicator lets the operator know when re-charging will be required.


High filtration is provided by a HEPA 13 media bag. While this level of filtration is highly effective, some of this dust tends to escape when the bag is being changed. Another design nicety of the Valet Battery Upright addresses this problem. As the bag is withdrawn from the machine it closes automatically, so the operator can breathe easily.


Whether cleaning in a busy environment or one where electricity points are scarce or inaccessible, the operator can glide around obstacles and smoothly complete the task with no fear of causing a trip hazard.


High productivity – covering 265m² per hour – can be achieved and


sustained with ease. The brush width of the VBU is 29cm, while brush speed is 3,000rpm.


Making the vacuuming operation as seamless as possible helps staff to be more productive. The VBU can lie flat and still vacuum effectively under beds and furniture. A self-adjusting cleaning head also allows the vacuum to float evenly over all flooring surfaces. And the brush has an edge cleaning feature for better vacuuming by walls and furniture.


So while vacuuming may seem mundane to the bystander, not all vacuums are the same, as advances in design and technology make the daily routine smoother and more efficient.
