Delphis Eco established a fantastic programme with schools, called The Eco Turtle Project, to give children hands-on experience learning about enterprise and sustainability within their community.
Delphis Eco provides refill stations and concentrate to selected Eco Schools, so that pupils can offer their local community affordable, environmentally friendly cleaning products. It helps students learn where products come from and end up, engages them with avoiding waste, and encourages them to see sustainability as a core principle of a successful modern enterprise.
The Eco Turtle Project was developed with a group of children from Ashley C of E Primary School. They created the logo design and chose the project name. Their aim was to design a system where their parents could access ecological cleaning products for the home and raise money for the school, whilst helping the environment.
By means of a specially designed dispensing system, the cleaning products are dispensed from concentrate into reusable bottles; thus helping to reduce carbon footprint and encourage parents to recycle their plastic spray bottles. By understanding the tangible aspects of sustainability, pupils will be able to see how everyday actions can affect our planet.
From learning about recycling measures to the water cycle, environmental issues and sustainable production, Delphis Eco are hoping to inspire the leaders of tomorrow.

Before the launch of Tork EasyCube™, the practice of refilling washroom dispensers had to be carried out by guesswork.
In a large facility, cleaning staff would have to visit each washroom individually to check on supplies of soap, hand towels and toilet paper. These checks needed to be carried out at regular intervals since any run-outs would potentially compromise hygiene and lead to complaints.
Tork EasyCube has radically changed this situation. A simple but ingenious solution to restocking washrooms, Tork EasyCube ‘connects’ dispensers via sensors that are linked to a cloud-based app. This enables the status of every washroom dispenser to be checked remotely via the cleaner’s smartphone or tablet.
As a result, supply levels are constantly monitored without the need for staff to physically visit each washroom. And Tork EasyCube builds up an ongoing picture of supply levels so that staff can anticipate run-outs and ensure that refills are ordered in as and when they are needed.
The fact that operatives no longer need to spend many hours physically visiting washrooms to check on supplies means they have more free time to spend on other important cleaning tasks. And this change in cleaners’ work practices has removed some of the repetitive drudgery of their working lives, resulting in enhanced motivation and greater job satisfaction which leads to better staff retention.
Tork EasyCube is available in a wide range of Tork Elevation dispensers as well as in the Tork Image Design line of upmarket washroom units.
