NEWS AND THE WINNER IS...

Voting for the Tomorrow’s Cleaning Awards 2016 slammed shut last month, and we’re delighted to announce the winners right here.

At the start of the year, we unveiled to you our annual Tomorrow’s Cleaning Awards for 2016 – a collection of the best and brightest product innovations and services that graced the cleaning world in the past 12 months. Covering everything from dispensing systems and vacuum cleaners to cleaning chemicals and scrubber dryers, we believe that we presented as broad a spectrum as possible, but in the end it was down to you, our wonderful readers, to pick your winners.

For the past three months, we’ve been keeping a watchful eye over the voting numbers, trying to predict who would eventually come out on top. It was certainly very close right up to the end, with the top spot changing several times throughout the process, but after more than 3,000 of you had your say, the results are in and I’m delighted to announce our winners.

1ST PLACE Katrin Inclusive Dispenser from Metsä Tissue

In first place is Mestä Tissue, with their Katrin Inclusive Dispensers. The range has been designed to enhance ease of use in public washrooms, taking into account a wide range of users, including children, the elderly and those with visual impairments or physical disabilities.

Speaking after hearing the news of their success, Juha Tilli, Head of BU Away-from-Home at Metsä, said: “This is a great industry recognition, and it is

good to see that we have managed to launch a leading dispenser set that our customers appreciate.”

While Henrik den Ouden Runshaug, the Project Engineer who led the design of the dispenser range, added: “This award is an honour and a great credibility statement for what we set out to do. We consider it a win for inclusivity, and we hope others will follow suit and see the same opportunities and benefits of inclusive design.

“We will certainly continue our efforts by offering solutions which are a pleasure to use for everyone.”

“These dispensers

are great for anyone trying to ensure their

organisation has done as much as possible to ensure people with

restricted mobility can use the washroom.”

“First dispenser range I’ve seen

which really takes a human approach!”

“This is a truly innovative, thoughtful approach to

dispensers. If any products should take the full breadth of users into account,

it’s these! They make a difference in an elegant way. Way to go, Katrin!”
