RALEIGH J. FINKELSTEIN HALL
Raleigh J. Finkelstein Hall is being built with donor and university funds. It is located at 500 Lafayette Avenue, north of the current Cook-DeVos Center for Health Sciences on the north side of Interstate 196. This building will:
• Allow us to expand programming and accommodate more students to meet the increasing demand for Grand Valley graduates in our 19 health science programs.
• Add new health sciences programs as they become needed by our regional and statewide health care providers.
• Create synergistic space to support interprofessional health sciences collaboration and emphasis on team building and clinical reasoning.
• Expand our classroom and laboratory facilities to create more opportunities for students to attain the foundation they need prior to their clinical experiences.
• Allow for expansion and renovation of our simulation center in the Cook-DeVos building made possible by moving some programs and facilities to Finkelstein Hall.
• The 84,000 square foot project is scheduled for completion in 2018.
