Brockmans

Introduce the colours of passion and romance into your Valentine’s Day cocktail menu this year.

The contrast between the tactile, black, darkly seductive Brockmans Gin bottle and these pretty pink and violet cocktails will kick-start a Valentine’s evening like no other.

Made with the gin ‘like no other’, with its intriguing combination of blueberry and blackberry notes, coriander, bitter-sweet orange peel, angelica and other delightful botanicals, the Brockmans Ultra Violet is new for Spring 2019 whilst the Brockmans Frosé is from the Spring Cocktails chapter of The Black Book of Gin Cocktails.

Purple passion: ULTRA VIOLET

Ingredients

Method

• 50ml Brockmans Gin • 20ml Absinthe • 20ml Crème de Violette • 10ml Dry Vermouth

Combine all the ingredients with large ice cubes and stir for 5-6 seconds then strain into a chilled martini or coupe glass and garnish with an edible flower.

In the pink: FROSÉ Method Ingredients

• 45ml Brockmans Gin • 25ml Combier Rose liqueur • 5ml Freshly squeezed lemon juice

• 100ml Sweet rosé wine • 2 small scoops of crushed ice

Add Brockmans Gin, rose liqueur, lemon juice and rosé wine to a shaker and shake over ice. Strain the contents into a large stemmed wine glass filled with crushed ice. Alternatively add all ingredients into a blender with ice and blend until the ice is crushed, then scoop the frozen mixture into a large stemmed wine glass. Garnish with sugared or fresh rose petals.
