Steele Raymond advises Arden on acquisition of communications firm
Dorset commercial solicitors Steele Raymond LLP has advised Arden Communications Group on its multi-million pound acquisition of a Midlands- based IT and communications firm. Arden completed the seven-figure acquisition of Birmingham-based communications firm Computerworld Business Solutions (CBS).
The transaction becomes the fourth acquisition by Arden in the past three years and continues its significant growth having previously acquired two other IT and telecommunications businesses, Unitycomm and Page IT Solutions, in 2015.
CBS, established in 1982 in Birmingham, specialises in highly technical IT services, infrastructures, communications, virtualisation and security.
The integration of CBS significantly strengthens Arden Group’s ability to deliver cutting-edge IT and telecom solutions to all sizes and sectors of businesses across the UK and globally.
A legal team from leading Bournemouth commercial solicitors Steele Raymond advised Arden, a longstanding client of the firm, on the acquisition of both businesses including corporate, banking and finance and commercial property matters.
The transactions were led by partner and company and commercial solicitor Nick Davies, who has extensive experience in acting for IT and technology clients, as well as across a wide range of other sectors.
Moore Blatch advises SecureData on cybersecurity acquisition
SecureData, a leading cybersecurity services and solutions provider, has acquired cybersecurity company, Cygnia Technologies, with the legal advice being provided by Southampton-based Moore Blatch.
The acquisition of Cygnia Technologies by SecureData sees two of the leading cybersecurity companies in the UK come together. With over 210 employees, including 150 cybersecurity professionals, SecureData, operates across the UK and selected overseas markets, providing services to approximately 1000 customers. Cygnia Technologies was established in 2007 and provides IT security solutions to some of the most secure organisations in the UK.
Moore Blatch provided the legal support to SecureData with the transaction led by partner Peter Jeffery, who was assisted by associate solicitor Thomas Clark. The transaction also involved the commercial, employment and property teams, headed by partners John Warchus and Katherine Maxwell.
This transaction comes off the back of a successful 18 months of corporate transactions in the digital and technology sectors for Moore Blatch, with Jeffery himself completing deals worth over £250 million.
