Welcome to the April issue
You might have noticed that your magazine is a little heavier this month as we have been swamped with requests from contributors, new advertisers and event organisers. It is testament to how popular the magazine is, so thank you to our loyal readers and long may it continue!
New advertisers include Supreme Heating & Gas Ltd (pg7), who are very proud to be a ‘Which? Trusted Trader’ and have great reviews online; the Urban Handyman (pg9), who offers everything from flat pack assembly to jetwashing and roof repairs; Platinum Bifold Doors (pg15); Bournemouth Jetting Services (pg23); Table Top Treasure (pg33), which has a number of craft and children’s clothing sales planned this year and The Pizza Box in Broadstone (pg41), a new restaurant and takeaway serving delicious Italian stone baked pizzas.
Our cover advertiser, Jack and Jill Nursery, has two open days this month. If you have a child of nursery age, pop along to see the wonderful facilities they have on offer in Corfe Mullen. For other local events this month, see page 40.
If you are looking for something to fill a little time, the RVS Home Library Service is looking for volunteers (pg52), and the Corfe Mullen Health Walk team and the petanque group at Upton Country Park (pg38) are also keen to sign up new members!
We were sad to read that David Allen is leaving the Broadstone Clinic (pg17), but he assures us it is in safe hands. On a happier note, congratulations to this year’s Carnival Princess, Maisie Thick, along with her two attendants Emily Thomas and Katie Croft (pg6).
