TIMELESS

The Royal Oak, Tunbridge Wells, 8th April

A perfect name for a band that play a wide range of music. Founder

members Allan and Rudi first played together in a band called Martyn James Expression. The band decided to streamline itself more as a function band where they learnt to play ballroom music and rock and roll. Several years after the group disbanded in 1980, Allan and Rudi decided to resurrect it. Now a very professional function band, they fill dance floors wherever they play. • Call the venue on 01892 542546.

All smiles for Artspring winner A delighted Debra Williams from Tonbridge received her £50 voucher from Artspring Gallery members Mike Evans and Sue Vass. Debra was the winner in the

Tonbridge High Street gallery’s Valentine’s Prize Draw, which attracted a large number of entries, and she chose to spend her voucher on a glass necklace by jeweller Hildegard Pax. • Visit www.artspringgallery.co.uk

ELO AGAIN

Assembly Hall Theatre, Tunbridge Wells, 21st April ELO Again are a fantastic alternative to the original. They will give you all the classic hits, all delivered with that huge orchestrated sound that was very much the signature of ELO during their heyday. Frontman Colin Smith formed ELO Again in 2011 after a long career writing and performing with acts such as Suzi Quatro, Hot Chocolate, The Tremeloes and The Zombies. He also formed and fronted the best-known Beatles tribute act, the Bandit Beatles. • Call the venue on 01892 530615.

BLUES DRAGONS The Cross Keys, Tunbridge Wells, 28th April

The last time that I saw this band, I was amazed that I’d never heard of them before, especially as a fan of blues music. It also proves just how much high quality stuff is out there. And this band are certainly quality, take my word. The repertoire will mainly consist of 60s electric blues medleys, carefully chosen to perfectly suit a pub audience. • Call the pub on 01892 536516.
