Enjoy A Garden of Vegan at Texas VegFest M
any people are already aware of the health, environmental and animal welfare benefits of
following a vegetarian/vegan way of living, but they don’t know where to start. To help educate and guide those interested in plant-based diets and animal-free products, the nonprofit Texas Veg Foundation will orchestrate the sixth annual Texas VegFest. This free vegetarian food and lifestyle festival event takes place from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., April 1 at the Fiesta gardens, near beautiful Lake Austin. The festival is a celebration of all things beneficial about a plant-based
lifestyle. Attendees are able to gain the knowledge necessary to begin in- corporating more plant-based products into their lives. Throughout the day, dynamic educational speakers will be featured including health practitioners, chefs, athletes and other professionals that have experience and knowledge of the advantages of adopting vegetarian or vegan ways. Also scheduled are local and national sponsors and vendors, cooking demonstrations, community outreach, a featured nonprofit, youth activities, fantastic food, craft beer, live music and more. Those interested in dedicating time as a volunteer, speaker or just attending
the event helps Texas VegFest achieve its mission in educating as many families and individuals as possible about the benefits of a plant-based lifestyle. Event organizers are accepting all levels of participants—sponsors, vendors, volunteers, nonprofits, speakers and interactive booths. There is still time for organizations in- terested in participating to learn of the many ways they can help make 2017 Texas VegFest a success.
