Near Death Experience Symposium Helps Participants See the Light
T
he thread between near death experiences (NDE) and spiritually transformative experiences leaves a sense we are con- nected to another plane of existence, a place that seems to have no physical values. The only constant between here and there is con- sciousness. Dr. Robert Brumblay, an emergency room physi- cian, has revived many patients back to life. Yet it wasn’t until his wife had an NDE that he became dedicated to under- standing this occurrence. Austinites can learn more April 7, 8 and 9 at the NDE Symposium, in Wimberley. Participants can enjoy presentations by people that had NDEs and spiritu- ally transformative experiences. Those interested can attend opening night, April 7, for free. Brumblay’s observations show that his patients report
changes in gravity, mental perception, 360-degree vision and experience divine love. He feels there is an extension of elec- tromagnetic phenomena that goes beyond three-dimensional space. His goal is to explain NDE within a framework of ac- ceptable scientific principles.
When someone has an NDE, they collaboratively agree that we are eternal beings having a temporary physical expe- rience. Historical figures and celebrities reported to have had NDEs include Ben Franklin, Abraham Lincoln, Nicola Tesla, Mahatma Gandhi, Carl Jung, Albert Einstein, Sharon Stone, Peter Sellers, Jane Seymour, Liz Taylor and William Peterson. After Stone’s experience, she became an ardent hu-
manitarian activist. According to an article in the Sept. 14, 2016 edition of Closer Weekly, Stone recounts that she had a real journey with a NDE that took her to places both here and beyond. She expressed hope that if NDEs cause people to treat others better, become philanthropists and see life in better, more empathic ways, the NDE phenomenon war- rants serious investigation.
