Baptist Sissies, is taking place at the Desert Rose Playhouse fromFriday, March 17 through Sunday, April 9, with performances on Friday and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. The acclaimed play follows the journey of four, gay boys from the Calvary Baptist Church of Dallas, TX. Religion clashes with sexuality as Mark Lee Fuller desperately searches for a place to put his own pain and rage, as he tries to create a world of love and acceptance in the church and clubs of Dallas. It’s a world that includes barflies, Peanut and Odette, whose endless banter takes audiences from hysterical laughter to tragedy and tears.
