Bedikat Chometz – The Search for Chometz takes place in your home after 8:30 PM. Chometz is forbidden on the holiday of Passover. According to Jewish law, Jews may not own, eat or benefit from Chometz during Passover. It is any food that is made of grain and water that has been allowed to ferment and "rise." Any processed foods that are not certified "Kosher for Passover" may potentially include Chometz ingredients.
MONDAY, APRIL 10TH - 14 NISAN
Fast of the First Born - Services 6:30 AM / Siyum 7:00 AM concluding one of the Talmudic Volumes thereby permitting all the participating Bechorim (first born sons) to eat and not Fast. Eating of Chometz until 10:14 AM; Bittul, the nullification of Chometz is recited on Monday morning, April 10th before 11:33 AM; Burning of Chometz is before 11:33 AM and will be available at 26 Dana from 10 to 11 AM only.

SALE OF YOUR CHOMETZ You may complete the form enclosed with this Hatikvah and mail it, email it, fax it, go to our website or see the Rabbi personally. The sale of Chometz must be completed by Monday morning, April 10th before 9:00 AM.

The eating of Chometz sold before Passover is permitted on Tuesday evening, April 18th after 9:00 PM.
